40 Weeks!!

How far along? 40 Weeks: my due date is August 13th

Maternity clothes? Yup.

Stretch Marks? No new ones! However, my left leg looks like Frankenstein because of all of my spider veins. I started with two from Faith, and now they are taking over my leg, ankle, and thigh. I hope they go down after baby boy decides to grace us with his presence. I am trying to embrace all of my scars from my babies-stretch marks, spider veins, and all-they will be a forever memory of this special time in my life.

Miss Anything? An adult drink would be great right about now...

Movement: At times it has slowed down, but as I'm typing this he is moving around like crazy! I don't know how he has ANY room to move in there!

Food cravings: tea, juice, and protein

Anything making you queasy or sick: I've been feeling more queasy lately-probably just a sign of labor approaching.

Gender: boy

Labor Signs: Plenty. I was dilated last week 1-2 cm and effaced 70%. I've been having lots of cramping, feeling sick, lower back pain, lots of lower pressure, and nesting. Baby has been letting me know that he's ready to be born for a ,month now, he just hasn't chosen to make his appearance.

38 week shot with all of my loves.
Symptoms: heartburn

Belly Button in or out? In

Wedding rings on or off? On

Mood: pretty good-I LOVED the cooler weather we've had this week. A little anxious about how far over due I will be, I was 7 days past my due date with Faith, so it could happen again, or it could be longer. My goal is to wait for my body to go in to labor on its own, so I am not getting induced unless it is medically necessary, or if I go past 10 days.

Looking forward to: meeting this wee addition to our family!

Camping 2 Moms and 3 Kids Style

Camping 2015!

At the end of June the girls and I went camping with my friend and her son. Here are some highlights from our trip!

The girls loved playing new games at the campground. Here is one of my favorites from when I was a girl, tether -ball! G enjoyed trying to play the game, and F played tag with the ball :) yelling "you can't get me!" to the tether-ball.

The arcade was a blast from the past! On the bottom picture is an old arcade style game with oldies but goodies like Pac-Man and Digger. It was fun teaching them how to play!

We also went to an Amish petting zoo/safari!

You could feed these big guys from the palms of your hands on the safari  tractor pull. G received an up close and personal exchange with an ostrich! Both girls preferred throwing feed over the side of the trailer.

Every trip has its ups and downs. When we returned from the petting zoo we barely made it into the camper before the down pour! Bed time was tough too, but overall we had a great time!

Update With Baby T #3

How far along? 34 weeks *cough* why does this pregnancy seem to be speeding up?!
33 weeks

Maternity clothes? Yes, yes, and yes. I have now been privy to some not so sweet comments from others. Just because I'm pregnant doesn't mean I want to hear how huge I am! Thank you for your lovely comments friends and family. I prefer the "you're glowing," and I will always remember, "you don't slow down while you're pregnant, you are just gorgeous."

Stretch Marks? Only the oldies, Baby Boy please continue to be so good to me!

Miss Anything? Not having heartburn after every meal. My own body, without an alien inside of it.

Movement: Every hour. At night this kid is a psycho, it would be fun to actually see exactly what is going on in there!

Food cravings: Anything that doesn't give me heartburn. Generally some type of dairy.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Braxton Hick's contractions do at times.

Gender: Baby Boy

Labor Signs: Braxton Hick's contractions, and lots of lower pressure. I am curious if they will check to see if I am dilated next week at my 35 week appointment. I also had high blood pressure again last week :( so I had to in for a blood pressure check this week, but it was low again!

Symptoms: spider veins, swelling, lower back pain

Belly Button in or out? In

Wedding rings on or off? On

Mood: pretty good most days. I am not complaining about the cooler summer we've had so far!

34 weeks
Looking forward to: finishing my maternity leave plans and getting the girls'

new "big girl" room finished and the baby's room done!

Coming up next...a recap of last week's camping adventures, just two moms and three kids!

Spring Break 2015

Destination: Myrtle Beach, SC

Here are my girls, ready for our Myrtle Beach adventure!

Since we left over Easter weekend, the Easter Bunny did not forget our girls.
Lots of goodies, a movie, a new cd for the ride, and life jackets for the water park! (Easter Bunny fail, Grace wanted to know why the baskets weren't hidden...mom fail!)

After a ten hour ride, we were ready for a break in West Virginia.

On the road again! Our first drive through the mountains in Virginia! The girls loved going through the tunnels.

Our hotel! The girls at the hotel water park area. There was a lazy river, a few different sized pools, and a ton of hot tubs! Grace loved the hot tubs and the lazy river, Faith really enjoyed playing in the kiddie wading pool, pictured here.

Ice cream after our first trip to the amusement park was a hit!

Ripley's Aquarium! It was a great place to go on one of our rainy days.

Faith, ready to go mini golfing!

After she would hit the ball, once, she would pick it up, drop it in the cup, and yell "hole in one!"

Our little golfer, Grace LOVES mini golf!

The view of Myrtle Beach from one of the mini golf places we went to.

Homeward bound! Another spring break adventure under our belts, we had a blast spending time together as a family and we learned a lot in our travels. Excited for our next family vacation :).

Happy Father's Day!

Father's Day
Then and Now

Happy Father's Day! Thank you to all of the fathers out there and the ones that we gratefully remember today, you are the heroes of your family!

Then...

It was 1985 when my dad became a father. I'm going to bet he was just as nervous as Mike was when he first became a dad. Times for a father were different in the 80's but I know you celebrated my successes and helped me through my failures, just as we do for our girls today.

Thank you dad, for teaching me so many things. I can attribute you to my faith in God, my love for nature and space, my drive for hard work and success, how to change a tire, and above all, how to rely on myself.

Thank you for also being a great Papa! You make them green eggs and ham and teach them about birds and nature. I am so thankful that they are blessed to have a relationship with their grandpa.

What do you love about your Papa?

F: Play with him!
G: Play!

8-8-09 Grace, the day Mike first became a father.

9-28-12 Faith, round two of fatherhood!
Now...

It was the summer of 2009 when Mike first became a father. Thank you for your steadfast love for our daughters. You are a modern dad! During the school year Mike's schedule is one of the "stay at home dad." He makes the girls breakfast, takes Grace to school, manages the household while I'm at work, and then goes to work 5 minutes after I get home! He then works into the wee hours of the night, gets home, tries to catch at least 5-6 hours of shut-eye, and then wakes back up to do it all over again.

What do you love about your dad?

G: I love him because he is great. I love that he makes me breakfast everyday when I have to go to school. I like that he has a beard. I like to play Candy Land with him.

F: Beard! Play with him!

Future...

After a very busy day at Michigan's Adventures yesterday I said, "Mike, we are about to be out numbered." Cheers to your first time being a father of a son, coming soon this August!

29 Weeks and Counting...

Myrtle Beach, SC
Triez Family Spring Break Trip 2015

How far along? 29 weeks since yesterday. Many people have been asking, "when are you due?" After I tell them, most people say, "wow, you still have all summer to be pregnant." I generally smile back because I know they are thinking how hot and uncomfortable I'm probably going to be. And yes, I am not looking forward to being pregnant and hot, yet again, but I want this pregnancy to slow down! I then usually share, "well this is my third pregnancy through the summer, so I'm used to being hot. This baby can cook as long as he wants because I need time to get our house and my mind mentally prepared for him!"

Maternity clothes? Yes. I  wear layers to work  because the mornings are still chilly, and most of my non-pregnancy cardigans fit fine without being buttoned.

Stretch Marks? Just my same old momma scars :)

Miss Anything? SUSHI! One of my BFFS, Bethanie, and I are going out for dinner tomorrow night, and she suggested Chinese, and all I can think about is sushi! Mike, if you're reading this, maybe you could sneak some into the hospital after our little is born?

Movement: It is starting to be getting stronger every week. After my 28 week ultra sound (they didn't catch everything they needed to at my 20 week ultra sound) I found out that I still have an anterior placenta, yuck. The nurse practitioner that I met with thinks that my placenta will keep growing out with my uterus instead of floating up and back like I was first told. However, she said that it shouldn't have any effect of my labor and delivery.

Food cravings: Iced tea and fruit

Anything making you queasy or sick: The Braxton Hicks contractions do at times.

Gender: Bouncing Baby Boy

Labor Signs: Well, I thought that Baby Boy was head down because I've been feeling him move lower in the past few weeks. However, at his recent ultra sound for one minute his head was down, then it was over to the side, and then over to the other side, so he was still moving around a lot.

I also started having 4-6 Braxton Hicks contractions an hour last weekend. After checking with my doctor's office they had me come in to make sure that I wasn't going into pre-term labor. However, the tests came back negative, so he is safely growing where he should be! I am still experiencing these contractions, mostly at work and at night, but I haven't had as many since last weekend.

Symptoms: spider veins and swelling
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Mood: It depends on the weather. The cooler I am the better mood I'm in!
Looking forward to: the single digit countdown to summer vacation! Grace has 4.5 days left and I have 9.5!! Let the countdown begin!

Coming up...Next time I will try to post about our spring break trip. To the right is one of the only pictures of me from the trip, on the pier at Myrtle Beach, SC :)

25 Weeks!?

A walk down memory lane tonight. All of the pictures below are me at 25 weeks pregnant with all of my lovelies.

Baby T #3
(Baby Boy and no, we are not keeping his name a secret, we really haven't decided yet!)

Double photo bomb! Grace and I were all dressed up to go see "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good Very Bad Day" at the Civic Theater. Thanks for taking us mom and friends!

Baby T #2
(Baby Girl, Faith Diana)
I remember that this was my first pregnancy photo while pregnant with Faith!

Baby T #1
(Baby Girl, Grace Kathleen)
At 25 weeks I was so excited to finally have a baby bump!

How far along? 25 weeks as of Thursday. Mike and I just realized there are only 15 weeks left until my due date...um...huh? And I was just notified on one of my pregnancy apps that there are only 103 days left until my due date! Can we say time needs to sloooooow down (anytime would be nice, we are not quite ready for a third just yet!)

Maternity clothes? Most of the time. The maternity shirts look and feel better, so I've been trying to weed out my regular tops for now. I have to with pants, however I have a few regular skirts and dresses that still fit fine.

Stretch Marks? Nothing new...Thank you Bethanie for the stretch mark oil, I am religiously moisturizing my belly morning and night. Fingers crossed that I don't get any new ones!

Miss Anything? vino...need I say more?

Movement: At my 20 week ultra sound I told my OB that I was worried about the lack of movement I had been feeling. It turns out that I have an anterior placenta, lame. This means that my placenta is in front of the baby and when he kicks, he hits the placenta first before me. However, it is supposed to continue to float up and back as the baby develops, and tonight he has been wild! Kicks and rolls all around, I would love for Mike or the girls to finally feel him move.

Food cravings: These are not as strong as they first were, anything that doesn't give me heartburn is good.

Anything making you queasy or sick: There's really no time for this with your third pregnancy. Every time I've been pregnant I feel like I am tougher than before. The only thing that really bothers me is my heartburn.

Gender: Boy :) I also get to see him again in a few weeks because they couldn't get a good enough photo of his face at the 20 week ultra sound.

Labor Signs: Too early

Symptoms: Rounding ligaments, varicose veins, heartburn
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Mood: Generally good, I just still get pretty tired at night. Oh and if I'm hangry, watch out, just ask anyone in the Triezenberg home!
Looking forward to: Summer!!!!!
