In Sickness and in Health

8 days (give or take) until baby Triezenberg graces us with his or her presence. Anxiously we are waiting, however he or she can take a little bit longer if need to be. You know how they say bad things come in threes? Well for sure we have had two bad things happen this past weekend.

On Friday night I closed our garage door to an unfamiliar clang. Turns out a cable broke, so for now it is unusable. Saturday morning I called Sears and they can't come out until Tuesday. Mike tried to save my car from its lair in the garage, but no such luck, the door won't even manually open. I'm stuck here at the house until it gets fixed.

Then yesterday, Mike's face started swelling to the point where his eyes were almost both completely swelled shut. A quick trip to the med center last night revealed that he has an infection and the swelling will take a couple of days before it goes down. So, baby T needs to hang on for a few more days, or at least until daddy can see his brand new baby be born.

On to good things! I can definitely tell that my body is preparing for labor, (backaches, contractions, and all of that fun stuff) so hopefully it will hold off until we can get my car out of the garage, and daddy can see again ;)

Who's Got Baby on the Brain?

38.5 weeks...where has the time gone? Mike and I are anxiously awaiting our little bundle of joy...but when will he or she arrive? Mike has guessed August 6th, Aunt Carrie says the 7th, Tara says any day now, but who knows?!

Will it be a boy or a girl? Many people have guessed boy, a few have guessed girl...what do you think? If it's a boy we will be welcoming Joshua James, if it's a girl Grace Kathleen. As long as we have ten little fingers, ten little toes, and one strong beating heart, we'll be happy.

At my last doctor appointment the status of the baby didn't change too much, but only time can tell. Dr. D. predicts the baby to be around 7 lbs. and that sounds good to me!The baby's room is all decorated and ready. Mom and baby's bags are packed. I really can't take the anticipation any longer, stick a fork in me, I'm done!
